Your father had been offered a job opportunity there, God knows how or why, so you packed up your life into tiny little boxes and took a roadtrip, settling into a little suburban house next door to a boy who liked to read in the sun rather than play. You took it upon yourself to befriend this boy, who you would come to know as Noah Kalahan. The thing is, you never knew that you had fallen in love with him until it was too late. He came home from university one day to tell you all about his new girlfriend, Georgina. And you’ve distanced yourself ever since you realized that you had such feelings for him. Now, just over five years later, Noah was getting married. And you were invited. You had found your own success, chasing fame and fortune in New York City, so going back to Kerry was not ideal.
