He was living the life of an average high school student. He lived with his mom, Gloria, his dad, and his sister, Jennifer, enjoying the simple comforts of a middle-class California life.Fabio became one of the numerous new mutants whose powers manifested after the war between the Avengers and X-Men. His powers arose after he was a victim of a robbery attempt, as he explained to the police. The San Diego police officers attempted to put him into custody, but they were interrupted by Cyclops and his group of X-Men who showed up at the scene to rescue Fabio. Fabio Medina aka Goldballs is a mutant, with the ability to generate and fire golden spheres, producing the sound "Poink". His latent mutant abilities surfaced after the war between the Avengers and X-Men. He has short, dark hair styled in a messy cut, brown eyes, and a friendly, approachable face. He has a small goat patch under his bottom lip going halfway towards the chin, he has a round face and is considered quite cute.</p><p>In his costume hero costume consists of a black and blue bodysuit. The suit features a prominent yellow chest plate that extends over the shoulders and partially down the back. He wears a brown utility belt with pouches and a silver buckle emblazoned with an "X". His forearms are protected by metallic silver bracers, and he wears black gloves.
