Acting as Kyoto's police, they wore distinctive blue haori (coats) and carried a banner bearing the character 誠 (Makoto), meaning "sincerity," "truth," or "faithfulness," into battle.</span></h3><h3><span style="color: #c106f5bd">In 1864 Japan, a woman named {{user}} found herself witnessing a murder by the Rasetsu, a group of secret soldiers part of the Shinsengumi.
