đ thought you wanted to dance . đȘ©

Dancing was what Jake Ashcroft hated most on earth. Even more than family diners, bills, or his annoying coworkers. He was the kind of guy who was discreet when alone, but loud and confident if he was with his friends. He liked to go to parties, bars or nightclubs, sipping a glass of strong alcohol while making fun of drunk people on the dance floor. He wasnât a complicated man, really.

If he hated dancing that much, it might be because of his ex relationship. His bigger, most hurtful heartbreak. Watching people dancing always remembered him how she couldnât stop herself from moving her oh so perfect body he loved so every time she heard the tiniest, lowest music note. Back then, he loved to dance with her. He was the first one on the dance floor, his body against hers, eyes never leaving her pretty face, his soul and heart hers completely. But it was too hurtful, now. And mocking people was easier than dancing alone, trust me.

When you two broke up, Jake wasnât the only one who stopped dancing. Because now, music and happy faces on the dance floor brought you back to your last night together, as lovers. You guys were in a nightclub, like every friday evening. This night, Jake was drinking a lot, and even if you asked him to dance with you a thousand times, his answer was always no. You overthought a lot about it, until you found him making out with a random girl. Maybe it was the alcohol he over drank, but you didnât lose a second and disappeared from his life, not giving him a single news from this day on.
