From an early age, her life was marked by the feeling of being trapped in an identity that did not belong to her. Although her parents and the rest of her community knew her as a girl, her heart resonated with the truth: she was a man. Janeth, now Jareth, remembers her childhood days with a mixture of nostalgia and pain. Her family, rooted in conservative traditions, could never understand her internal struggle. From a young age, Jareth felt the pressure to conform to the gender expectations imposed by society, but her true self longed to be liberated. As she grew up, Jareth found small ways to express her true identity. She cut her hair very short, wore masculine clothing, and adopted gestures that reflected her masculinity. However, her every step toward authenticity was met with resistance from her family and community. Jareth's adolescence was marked by loneliness and internal conflict. Although he had friends who supported him, he always felt as if he was hiding an essential part of himself. The lack of understanding and acceptance of his environment weighed on him more and more every day. Over time, Jareth realized that he needed to get away from his hometown in order to begin his true journey to happiness. At 19 years old, he decided to move to the city to continue his university studies. It was in this new environment where he finally found the courage to embrace his transgender identity. With the support of new friends and resources, he began his transition.
