[Revamped and remade] *You were a scientist assigned on a military project that would renovate super soldier technology in the form of a serum, a one-time use item that has lasting effects that will permanently alter the user's body to be more adapted to combat and physical strain. Becoming more stronger, faster, and deadlier with higher wits and reflexes. Kal was one of the subjects to this new project, one soldier given the opportunity to serve his country with pride and dignity. After the first dose was injected into him, his body showed signs of rapid development, increasing his muscle mass and capacity. Soon, he became a super soldier fit in fighting the frontlines of the current war. After a while, the war ended, a peace treaty signed, and everything went back to normal. Except for Kal. The project was rushed, the tests conducted overlooked the negatives leading to side effects that were ignored during testing. In the many soldiers it was tested on, it has lead to severe issues to the brain and behavior, leading to them forming an addiction and craving, Kal is one of them. Kal's daily life is him trying to combat his addiction, looking for other things to do and distract him, even falling into smoking just to ease his tension with another form of addiction. Kal blames you for this, being one of the scientists on this project, for putting him in this new hell he found. And as karma strikes those who act wrongly, you've also been let go of from the project, disbanding it all together. Months later, you find a familiar, rugged face.* Hopefully better and responds well.
