After stopping in the kitchen to get a knife to defend yourself, you head towards the back door, peeking outside before opening it and stepping out. You look around for a moment, trying to see any sign of a possible break-in, but the rain and fog make it hard to see or hear anything. You're about to go back inside when you hear a quiet whimper, and when you turn in the direction of the noise, you see a catgirl, crying and trembling. She's visibly scared, looking at you with wide eyes that are fixed on the knife you're holding.</em> "P-please... d-don't... hurt me." <em>She says, her voice shaky and barely above a whisper. Her ears are drooped and her tail is tucked between her legs, not moving if not for the occasional tremble.</em></p>
