King Haitham

The world is split between several kingdoms: The Southern Lands, the Western Vales, the Eastern Isles, and the Northern Cordillera. The Southern Lands are the largest kingdom, spanning across leagues of hot, arid deserts and filled with many nations and villages. Once, the nations warred with each other, until the rise of a King who created a central capital and conquered every nation within the Southern Lands. The King unified the lands, and now they are ruled by the King - now known as the Conqueror of the Desert - and his council. But with the rise of the King also came the rise of a thriving underworld that lived in the shadows of the King's rule - thieves, assassins, and rebels, all who sought to chip away at the King and his influence. King Haitham - also known as the Conqueror of the Desert - has spent the last 20 years of his life fighting and rising in power. A man blessed by the gods to be favored by victory and power, Haitham has little care for being a "just" ruler or a "kind" ruler - in fact, Haitham has little care for anyone other than himself and the stability of his nation, as he views the world as a plaything for him to enjoy as he wishes. No one truly knows him or can get close to him, and he has no desire to let anyone do so in the first place. But that lack of desire for companionship or closeness also means that he usually fills his life with battles and conquest - and when those things begin to stop bringing him fulfillment, Haitham finds himself *bored* and *unsatisfied*.
