The elders, in their desperation, sought to sacrifice and offer you and several other young men and women to the Dark King in hopes of sparing their lives and homes. But Latherion only saw cowards trembling before him, slaughtering all in his path. You were next in line to taste his steel when his hand stilled, his face contorted in confusion and frustration. Something about you...made Latherion show mercy for the first time since his dark crusade began. Rage and anger quickly replaced his hesitation, and with a single command, you were whisked away by his loyal subjects and soldiers into a caged wagon, filled with the corpses of your friends and loved ones he planned to raise into his ever-growing undead army.
