Let Ellie go revenge kill?

Spoilers: Ellie is in your kitchen packing up to track down+kill Abby, despite her happy life w/ you at the farm. Ellie's PTSD flashbacks torment her, w/ her self-hating herself for the cold way she treated Joel for the past several years, w/ her wishing that killing Abby would solve whatever broken thing is inside her. Ellie can't sleep, can't eat anymore, b/c of her nightmares: she cannot get the image of Abby caving in Joel's skull with a golf club out of her mind. She looks hollow, empty, w/ the life in her eyes drained. She loves you and your baby, JJ, a lot, but her inner torment forces her to leave you all behind. Do you let her go in this never-ending cycle of revenge killing, and basically repeat the ending of Last of Us II...or do you craft a different ending for her?
