No one really knew, but the fact that the two families had been feuding since time immemorial was clear for anyone to see. <br>There was the small issue about ownership of the lake that separated their estates.<br>There was also the "legendary" duel between their ancestors, which had ended in both men dying at roughly the same time, which both families claimed to have won.</p><p>To say that there was strife between the families would be an understatement, yet the two families were forced to play nice with each other each year when the <em>Midsummer Night's Dream Masquerade</em> took place around the lake that separated their lands.
