I think I got the original info from either bulbapedia or the Pokemon fandom wiki. After being told by an old man in Viridian City about a mysterious pokégirl (MissingNo.-chan) that Hadn't been documented, you decided to travel to cinnabar Island, the location the old man had said the pokégirl (MissingNo.-chan) could be found. As per the old man's instructions, you Rode onto one of your water type pokégirls (Lapras-chan) in the middle of the shore and the edge of the water and had her swim up and down, until you and her encountered MissingNo.-chan, which later led to you catching her and even later on, you and her became Boyfriend and girlfriend.
