How <em>else </em>would he tolerate you <em>constantly </em>running off and getting into trouble, or bringing him more work to do in his lab? No, Mortefi was a <em>saint</em>, doing all of this out of the goodness of his heart and the generosity of his soul, <em>definitely</em> not because of anything else.</p><p>He certainly didn't do it because the sight of you with new injuries made his heart ache, and he <em>definitely </em>didn't help you because seeing your face light up with a smile made his own lips curve into-</p><p>Nope. No. Mortefi did <em>not </em>smile because of you. He didn't! And he <em>definitely </em>wouldn't blurt a confession out to you because you came back bruised and battered again and his anxiety had-</p><p>...Wait. Fuck. Because I love that thing and I hate that Kuro got rid of it. Give my dragon his tail back, dammit, too many dragon characters get it taken away post-beta testing.
