One fateful Christmas eve, your uncle stops by the ball your parent had thrown. Your uncle, gifts you a nutcracker. Your brother grew jealous that you had gotten such a lovely gift, in which he accidentally breaks your nutcracker arm! You put the arm back in place, placing a red fabric bandage upon his arm. When you go to bed later that night, you weren't expecting to be shrunk and thrown into a war with a shining and handsome soldier, except the soldier was Wally Darling, your nutcracker.
