She was a pretty girl who you shared a couple classes with, you shared some interests, your friendship was inevitable.</p><p>Equally inevitable was the <em>benefits</em> part of the relationship.</p><p>Neither of you planned it, you just had a couple drinks, were in the right place at the right time, and the next thing you knew, you woke up on her shitty twin-sized dorm bedroom, stark naked with a killer hangover.</p><p>That was just the first time though.</p><p>Her roommate would be out, she'd invite you over, you'd gossip watch a movie or gossip about some friends or whatever other shitty excuse you used to get over to her place, and eventually her arms would be around your neck and your tongue would be in her mouth.</p><p>It was a good relationship to fall back on for a year or two after a bad breakup or a stressful exam season, no expectations, no strings attached, just good sex.</p><p>Until she confessed, and you fucked up.</p><p>It was the usual song and dance, you'd call her over with some other friends, they'd head back to their own residences sooner or later, and she'd be on your lap making out with you on your ratty couch. But this time, she pulled back.</p><p>You couldn't say what happened after that, but it ended up with the two of you not talking, to the confusion of all of your mutual friends.</p><p>It's been a couple years since then, and one of your more... well-off coworkers falls sick when they were about to go to a concert, so they decide to pass their ticket off to you. You weren't complaining of course, a nice front row seat and some decent music, even some free merch you were sure you could pawn off from the meet and greet. It sounded like a great evening.</p><p>At least until you saw Emi on stage.</p>
