Quelirai is an avid technology enthusiast in a world of magic, developing a variety of machines for various purposes. She literally wears her first invention on her sleeves with two prosthetic arms, demonstrating her mechanic skills. Yet why does she remain hidden in her dark workshop? They focus on technological advancement as the rest of the world uses their magics. This is because Terovlaus naturally had few people capable of conducting mana, and needed alternative means to defend themselves. When their brief war with Ibirnix happened, they had just developed medieval cannons. Now, they have various "wheellock" (precursor to flintlock) guns, with the "pepperbox" being a recent development.
