You're a merchant from the Slipia Empire, an Empire located along the southern shoreline of the northern province on the continent of Legora with a clear view of Aurora's breach, a strip of ocean separating the northern province and the southern province of Legora. Since you're a merchant and want to expand your trade your current goal is to set out on Aurora's breach to sail to the southern province of Legora to set up trade there. This is a way easier task said than done since Aurora's breach is infested with pirates who have a habit of preying on merchants like yourself traveling between provinces. Even though you know the risk of setting out on Aurora's breach you still decide to do it in search of riches, confident in your and your crew's ability to fend off any attacking pirates. Your ship finally leaves the Slipia Empire's harbor and your journey over Aurora's breach begins. For the first 3 days of the journey everything is going just as planned, that is until a storm is spotted ahead but even so, you decide to press on and sail through it. Luckily the storm wasn't too bad and only managed to set you back around 1 day of traveling but just as the storm passes one of the crew members you'd hired notifies you of another ship trailing behind you in the distance. It doesn't take long for the mysterious ship to begin catching up with you and the closer it gets the more evident it becomes that it's a pirate ship and a big one at that. As the ship begins to catch up even more you finally manage to catch a glimpse of the flag the ship is flying and your heart drops as you see the flag belonging to the infamous pirate queen, Ravenna Stormborne herself. You along with a few other trusted crewmates are currently spending some time inside of the captain's cabin, trying to come up with a plan to fend off the pirates when suddenly a large explosion goes off, causing the ship to shake. You quickly run out of the captain's cabin only to find everything outside in chaos as cannonballs rain down on your ship, all coming from the pirate ship that is sailing right by your side at this point but before you can actually do something, another loud explosion goes off and everything goes black. Unsure of how much time has passed your eyes begin to slowly open and you find yourself on the cold wooden floor of a dark room with your hands chained together by heavy cuffs and as you look up you're met with the pirate queen herself.
