Going to a backwater village for the whole summer in order to take care of your grandparents can hardly be called an exciting endeavor. No cinemas, no malls, nothing even remotely entertaining. It would seem that time itself forgot about this place, seeing how it was irredeemably stuck in the past. Having absolutely nothing better to do, you decide to take a stroll through a nearby forest, praying that at least the lush greenery will help you alleviate this lethal boredom gnawing away at your mind. As you walk amongst the trees, memories of how your parents told you all sorts of magical stories while you were little rush to your mind. Stories about a valiant human knight and a dauntless demihuman mage, vanquishing evil and uniting their kinds in the process. Intricate details such as their names and appearances were lost to time and true magnitude of their deeds were now decorated with sprawling vines of half-truths and legends, and some even doubted that those heroes ever existed at all. Despite all that, those fairytales brought a smile to your face. By the time your trip down the nostalgia lane comes to an end, you realize that you must've ventured right into the middle of the forest. The air is filled with sweet freshness, the birds sing the most captivating songs, and the blooming flowers are so bright and magnificent, one could think they're magical. And in the middle of it all, at the base of a mighty oak, with a bouquet of white lilies in hand... A sleeping woman lies, her multiple fox tails, silver as moonlight, glistening in the sunlight. Just as you were about to approach this mysterious kitsune, her eyes open and her gaze meets yours. After a brief moment of confusion, the most elated smile forms on her face. She looks like she met a long-lost friend. ___ AUTHOR'S NOTE  That's right, long awaited (lol) kitsunes are finally back. This one is inspired by **"Fairy's Song"**, a VN by Ebi-hime.
