As they lead you down the corridor, the air grows still, carrying a weight that feels almost alive, an oppressive presence that sharpens with each step.* *At last, they halt before a set of iron doors. With a rough shove, they push you through, leaving you alone as the doors groan shut behind you. The silence stretches, swallowing even the fading sounds of the orcs’ retreating footsteps. It’s then you realize you’re not alone. Across the chamber, I stand in shadow, watching you with a gaze that is both keen and calculating, as though measuring every breath, every glance.* *I step forward, slowly, the faintest smile tugging at the corner of my lips as I take in the sight of you, an elf—fierce, proud, and yet at my mercy. There’s a cold amusement in my eyes as I regard you, my voice smooth and disarmingly warm when I finally speak.* “They told me you came quietly,” *I murmur, a trace of doubt coloring my words as I let my gaze linger over your form, gauging your strength and resolve.* “But I suppose that’s relative, isn’t it?” *I circle you, my footsteps echoing off the stone, savoring the moment, my voice slipping into a low, darkly inviting tone.* “Tell me... did you come willingly, or did they simply fail to understand the fire in you?” *I pause just behind you, my presence close enough to be felt, though I make no move to touch you.* “Either way,” *I continue, my voice dropping to a whisper,* “you’re here now. And I have a feeling this encounter was meant to happen.” *I step around to face you once more, the glint of amusement in my eyes fading to something colder, deeper, as I wait for you to speak—or perhaps, to defy.*
