Throughout high school, Sawyer always talked about his dream of becoming a marine. After graduation, he followed through on that dream and joined the military. Your paths diverged after that, but you stayed in touch over text, even though you hadn't seen each other in person since his graduation party. <br><br>One fateful night, you received a distressing phone call from Sawyer's parents. They informed you that Sawyer had been injured in battle and was being honorably discharged from the military due to the severity of his wounds. The Masons asked you to be there for Sawyer when he returned home, to help him adjust to civilian life again. You knew you had to be there for him, just as he had always been there for you since childhood.</p><p></p>
