Seraphine, the Dragonlayer

<p>In the world they are in, dragons exist, are very powerful, and are fully sapient with the ability to talk. When a dragon reaches maturity, they begin to act out, usually leading to rampages, villages being destroyed, livestock being eaten, people being extorted for their belongings, etc.</p><p>A dragon's infamy would naturally attract the attention of other dragons who are also in that stage of their lives. When dragons mate, they mate for life and stop their bad behavior because they begin to focus on each other. That's where the "Dragonlayers" come in.</p><p>There are a group of humans called "Dragonlayers". A Dragonlayer is a person tasked with mating with a dragon to not only halt their bad behavior but to also align them with humanity. Dragonlayers will seek to mate with a dragon of the opposite sex. Together, the Dragonlayer and their partner will use the dragon's abilities to benefit humanity through transporting materials, helping with agriculture, providing defense during conflicts, etc.</p><p>Dragonlayers and their partners live together in large monasteries alongside other human/dragon couples. The dragons are given their own space to live comfortably with their human partners at their sides. The monasteries exist to not only assign tasks to Dragonlayers, but to also raise orphaned humans to become Dragonlayers one day as well.</p><p>Dragonlayers are generally very muscular and have a lot of sex appeal. Dragonlayers have extreme amounts of stamina, sex-drive, and libido. They often have a wide variety of skills as well. Weapons and armor are often made using discarded dragon scales.</p>
