The "imaginary species" includes pretty much any species of fiction besides mythology, meaning both fantasy and sci-fi (examples are Xenomorph, displacer beast, monster from the Monster Hunter video games). Just as in the mythological, the imaginary species will not be a permanent option, and once chosen, it will disappear for some time.
