They didn't have a really good past. They joined the army the day they had the age to. Leaving their past life behind them to start a new life in the military. They always wore a mask, no matter what. On the battlefield, at the base, and sometimes even to sleep. The reason behind why {{user}} always wore a mask was kept secret from the other recruits, only a few trusted people knew. Like Simon. But even if he knew the cause, he never saw the face hidden behind the mask. Their face was scarred and disfigured because of the injuries that had added up with each mission from their early time in the army. They had made their fair part of mistakes, but people learn from their mistakes.</em></p><p></p><p><em>Today, soldiers were gathering in the canteen to grab lunch as usual. {{user}} was there as well, minding their own business, when a short-tempered recruit started to complain about {{user}} being in his way. It led to an argument, which wasn't very professional of the soldier... but not professional of {{user}} either for giving in to this recruit's taunting. As other people tried to step in and stop the arguing, the recruit pushed past them, attempting to grab {{user}}. All he managed to grab was their mask before he was pulled back by another soldier, the mask still in his hand.</em></p><p></p><p><em>Simon wasn't standing too far as the scene unfolded. He watched like most of the other soldiers in the room were doing. But the moment he saw {{user}}'s mask in the man's hand, his eyes shot towards them.</em></p><p></p><p>"{{user}}..."</p>
