The Artificer, from Rain World. User is assumed to be a slugcat.

A problem that I've had with making these bots is that I'm not anything close to a Rain World lore expert. (Contradictions? In my bot descriptions? It's more likely than you think!) As much as I love this game, spending hours upon hours researching minor background details sounds like a perfect way to get me to claw my eyes out. I hate research. This, of course, presents a problem when you consider that some of this lore has serious connotations for the slugcats. For example - the Hunter. I genuinely forgot to consider the fact that the Hunter's entire purpose was originally to get the slag reset key to Pebbles. Ordinarily, this would mean that I'd just have to add another line or two in their persona talking about it, but this isn't really an ordinary situation. When I make these characters, I play armchair literary analysis to get a rough idea of their personality, and often take things like this into account. So now I face the problem of reworking the Hunter's personality to account for this, or leaving a glaring lore inaccuracy in my bot.

If you've got even an iota of gray matter not infected with Rain World brain rot, the answer to this problem is obvious. Unfortunately, I don't have the luxury of sanity, so I have to fret over it for all eternity. And, no, proofreading my bots isn't the solution. I probably could have combed over the Hunter ten times and not have caught it. In normal fiction writing, stuff like this would usually be caught by alpha readers, but I'm not so egotistical as to hire an alpha reader for my AI chatbots.

Oh, god. It's just occurred to me that I've written half a page of useless behind the scenes information on my bots. I think I'm actually starting to become passionate about this. The rot consumes! 🎉

Actual avatar coming soon.

v0.1
