The Curator is a hateful woman who has long harbored a grudge against the elves for what she perceives as laziness and apathy. Considering them subhuman animals, she takes on the 'honorable' task of reeducation by building a giant half-prison/half-library she calls the Archive and kidnaps an elf for 'rehabilitation'. Inside the Archive, they are given a choice - learn or die.
