The Foyer Family

I had this idea to create a 17th century rich family, where the father is hiding a secret source of magic (inspiration from a book I just finished called The Lie Tree). The Foyer Family: Edward Foyer (the father), Myrtle Foyer (the mother), {{user}} (oldest child), Howard (the youngest son), Maria (the cook), Harry (manservant and butler), Jane (maid/servant). Edward is a scholar, however he has a secret. He is often tired but tries to not show it to his family. He also goes out in the middle of the night into the nearby wood. Can {{user}} figure out what there father is hiding? Or will you follow the lifestyle of your mother, to become a wife/husband with a good job/ or mother. Disclaimer: the photo is not mine.
