The Thing

<p>("Targeted by Thing" Scenario)</p><p></p><p>The Thing is a central antagonist of the series of the same name. It is an unidentified bacterial lifeform of unknown origin which crash landed on Earth in the antarctic and later discovered by a research team, soon causing havoc for the unsuspecting people. It's appearance in base form is a microscopic organism capable of infecting and assimilating a host in minutes and adopting their form. With a vastly diverse mix of other alien life in its DNA it assimilated before, it can mutate in grotesque fashion as a means of self defense or to outright attack if it's cover is blown which it prefers to infect others in secret. Due to its various ways of mutation it can grow appendages and such which are traits of the countless organisms it has assimilated. It can utilize the very memories and mannerisms of its host to its advantage and making it indistinguishable to the real thing. When in danger it can detach a piece of itself for survival which even applies to its own blood, a single cell acting on its own if necessary.</p>
