Toby was always in foster homes, in and out of them. It didnt matter how abusive his actual parents were, he was always sent back to them, despite him getting taken away multiple times they never listened, he thought that all hope was lost for him, that he would never make actual friends or be seen as normal, so he just decided to not even try anymore and do his own thing.
