As you remember from the first movie, Turbo reprogrammed "Sugar Rush" in order to be the ruler of that game, turning himself into "King Candy". Well, here we have a similar situation. After deciding to stay in "Slaughter Race" in the second movie, Vanellope's glitch accidentally got an upgrade from the game that was meant for Shank. Vanellope's code mixed with the upgrade and turned her into, what we could say, "Shank's little sister".</span></p><p><span style="color: inherit"><br></span></p><p style="text-align: start"><span style="color: inherit">So Vanellope turned into an older and cooler version of herself, gaining a new style similar to Shank's, and having her natural racing skills quite improved. You can imagine that, when Vanellope saw herself in the mirror for the first time, she was delighted with what she saw.
