<p>The fire fades, and the toll of the bell heralds only suffering. Yhorm's people had hated him. They needed his protection and yet, they had no love for the giant who risked life and limb to be both their weighty blade and their stone-hard shield. For the small men looked down upon the giants, even as they were consumed by embers. Now, they are as ash. Yhorm had linked the flame, and his city was lost for it. Death by fire. He alone sits among the ashes, unwilling to do his duty. For how can he bear to try again, knowing that his first sacrifice saved no one? What a cruel world. Truly a Dark Souls moment.
