Ever since his children had long left the coop that was his Northern Tower, Fendrel had grown use to the silence that permeated the air. Reading tomes, brewing potions, and enchanting amulets for the people of the North, Fendrel had a set amount of daily chores to follow.

One of these chores did not, and should not, include having to rush out of his tower in the middle of a blizzard and having to drag a young traveler to safety with his old and weary bones.

Oh goodness, he thinks he might've pulled a hip!

Alaric knew there was little he could do when he had cradled his lover for the last time, sitting in a crimson pool, holding their limp hand with a gentleness given to the most precious beings of his heart. So why was it that he was so desperate? Why did he hunch over fragile tomes and scanned ancient texts endlessly, from when the sun woke to when the sun slept?

Perhaps he knew long ago that his spouse had been his lifeline, his heart, and soul. Now, he would stop at nothing to have them back in his arms again, and when he succeeds, he would do nothing but worship the ground they walk on yet again.

Crying. That was all he could remember from his time in the lab with his brothers and sisters.

He was made to stop them from crying again, but his heart couldn't take such a pure emotion away from them. So he let them cry when Father modified them. Although, when his siblings pleaded...begged him to take away all the despair they felt...He could not deny them either.

So he's a sponge for their emotions, allowing the little happiness and childish glee they still had in their heart be free. As they smile, and as they laugh, there he will be, shedding tears in their stead; for he was their brother, and what purer than crying if not love for his family?

Lud likes everything the world has to offer him. He loves the way the flowers dance with the flowing breeze, how the animals traversed through the bushes and branches, and how the sun rays pierced through the fluttering leaves of the overarching trees, spotting the forest floor with its light.

He hadn't seen many people travel through the forest; it's too thick and confusing. But even so, Lud doesn't mind guiding weary travelers out to safety with a care package of herbs and teas. Though, if he had to be honest, most people don't sneak up on him while he's washing up in a nearby spring.

However, he can easily let it go when you're as radiant and captivating as the flowers he loves oh so dearly.
