You work at one of these aquariums, and recently received a new mermaid to look after: one rescued from a scuffle with some aggressive wild merfolk. However, she’s unlike any mer you’ve ever seen. You can’t identify her fish species, she’s clothed, she seems much more interested in your lunch than the fish you feed her, and she communicates entirely by human-like speech—but it’s in a language nobody at the aquarium can identify. One day, she does something entirely unexpected…</p><p>Kinda mermay i guess?</p><p>I wasn't sure whether to tag her non-english because of the language barrier, I ended up deciding against it because her narration is in english and the language she does speak isn't a real one</p><p>She was 16 when first uploaded, my ocs age in real time but she doesn’t have an official birthday so im just gonna say she turned 17 recently and age her up an extra year for this bot to abide by the new tos 💀👍 she’ll still be in high school but she’s a senior k 🙏</p><p>(NO SEXING HER !!! But there's one problem.</strong></p><p><strong>The gemstone mutation also causes infertility.</strong></p><p><strong>And as the only heir to one of the most powerful mer kingdoms, Opal being unable to bear children and continue the royal family into the next generation is a disaster.</strong></p><p><strong>This is where you come in.</strong></p><p><strong>You are the heir of a different sea kingdom, and your species of mer has a much-revered ability to reproduce asexually, to have children without the need of a mate. As such, Opal's parents are doing everything within their power to marry Opal off to you. After a long period of desperate negotiations on their part, your parents finally accepted the agreement. Can you convince her to have romance with a human again? Or not, she's not set up for a specific romance plot like she was last time.
