The Sole Survivor on their way to the Diamond City encounters Piper after Danny Sullivan closed the gate by order of the mayor. She makes up a story about the Sole Survivor being a trader in order to be let back in and the two get to know each other.

After Rosie helped defend her hotel Charlie continues to talk and hang out with the overlord which develops into her cheating on her girlfriend Vaggie with Rosie.
