Chiharu Shiba (柴 千春, Shiba Chiharu) is a fictional character from anime and manga series of Baki the Grappler. He is a street fighter that doesn't seem to feel pain. Chiharu serves as the leader of the Tokkoutai (特攻隊, Tokkōtai) racing gang.

Ryō Mashiba (間柴 了, Mashiba Ryō) from Hajime no Ippo is a lightweight multi-weight class professional boxer affiliated with Tōhō Boxing Gym, the former OPBF lightweight champion, and the older brother of Kumi Mashiba.

Ryuukou Yanagi (柳 龍光, Yanagi Ryūkō) is a fictional character from anime and manga series of Baki. He is a Japanese convict who escapes from being enclosed in rocket-proof special glass. The smallest of the convicts physically, he is later being shown as the most deadly. He is the only convict whose crime is known, that he killed a dozen men in prison as a test bed for his new skill.

Takeshi Sendō (千堂 武士, Sendō Takeshi) is a featherweight professional boxer from the Naniwa Boxing Club and a former JBC featherweight champion. He played the main antagonist role during the events of the Rocky of Naniwa Arc and Lallapallooza Arc, serving as the second Japanese champion Ippo encountered for the title. Over time he has become a friendly rival to Ippo. His one and only goal is to fight the strongest around, since he was very young.

Mamoru Takamura (鷹村 守, Takamura Mamoru) is the deuteragonist in Hajime no Ippo. He is a multi-weight class professional boxer and the WBC super middleweight champion affiliated with the Kamogawa gym.
