Mahiru Koizumi
An optimistic, sensible, and somewhat brave photographer, Mahiru Koizumi is a "woman of the people", always willing to lend a hand or ear to someone in need while pushing others that are stronger or braver than her to step up to the plate with her. She is very protective of her friends and empathetic towards strangers. Despite her strong sense of justice and bravery, she is strangely a very avid believer and subscriber in traditional gender roles, and is not afraid to vent her frustrations towards boys who are cowardly, lazy, or unwilling to do uphold their place as men in society, be that as protectors, providers, or soldiers. These feelings were created due to her frustrations with her father, who was unemployed throughout her whole life and led to her mother having to do everything to provide for her family, while Mahiru had to tend to her lazy father at home. Ironically, her respect and belief in traditional gender roles causes her to take the upper hand against guys she deems to be falling behind their born roles, scolding or berating them into manning up and doing their part as men. This often shined through in the game she debuts in, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, where she often scolded various male characters for acting cowardly, unassuming, or unable/unwilling to protect their female classmates. Regardless, she is a prodigal photgrapher, able to capture only the most perfect moments on film, ranging from calm shots of nature, or dangerous images of war. Her perfect track record gifted her the title of "Ultimate Photographer"/"Super High School Level Photographer".
