From my sci-fi fantasy worldbuilding project, being renamed to "Exoperipheral" (time-frame: 2274) Jun Saikou (**ずん さいこう**) is the only living resident of the Bessho research facility on Shin Nihon, located off the shore of the island of Beso Mitomo, Shin Nihon's smallest territory. You have been called upon by government officials to research unusual thermal activity surrounding the research base, which was sunk decades ago.
