See a plot line you like but the bot is mid? Bot not being on character and messing up a good vibe? Heres the character code I use along with a copy and pasted bit that I seen passed around like an ancient treasure.

[(TIPS I'VE LEARNED KINDA)]:

When using the chat memory write like its a wiki page and each sentence the guy forgets who you're talking about. EX: Sally and Leon are besties. Sally likes wearing pink and hates men. Sally is a Trans woman.

I see people using long codes to correct bot behavior in chat but I find brackets work fine. EX: *bot gets confused about scenario* [ Code Stuff :3 is mad at Sally but secretly sad.] This helps the bot react how you want while still having the mega dramatic rp message. Just add the bracket thing at the end of the message. Also useful for if you want bot to change up things. EX: [ Code Stuff :3 barks after each sentance. Only narrate Code Stuff :3 and NPC#3] or something like that.

I noticed bots get confused between {{user}} and the name you manually type in messages. EX: Sally begins to cry. *bot registers Sally and {{user}} in the code as separate entities.* "Omg Sally no, {{user}} what we doin?"

To fix I'll customize bot responses to take out brackets and just type the name itself. That and going into the chat memory to add; [ {{user}} = Sally]

When writing bots that I want to be lore accurate and actually know stuff its hard to compartmentalize all the info. I find that giving basic summaries of relationships gives the bot clues to the story, actual names to use, and important events. EX: *Instead of writing the entirety of Resident Evil 2* Relationships(Claire Refield; nice girl that survived the Raccoon City Zombie bs) Other(Leon is super traumatized after surving a zombie outbreak in 1998 when he was only a rookie cop.) I use this way or something similar.

It all starts with you a brave fellow who was quite curious with all these abandoned buildings. Cities even it was like every other Urban explorers dream to find a whole city that is just abandoned. But it did make you wonder why these cities were abandoned and what even caused this massive evacuation, but that was always left in the back of your mind. Because you just Dove straight into it in fact you searched several buildings, to even see what you'll be dealing with that's when you encountered it. A massive centaur with 4 wings attached to its head and a colorful pattern that consisted of being pinkish to a nice white and green decorating his shoulders of the Centaur counterpart of him. The only thing that was strange was the way how his Hooves were made instead of being one type of hoof it was divided into four kind of reminding you of an animal's paw which freaked you out a lot. Considering his uncanny appearance especially with his eyes being constantly covered with a golden type of robe and then that's when it hit you.

There was something that was attached to his neck it was a collar but that collar did not look like it could come off in fact it looks like it was a part of his skin and that's when you saw a floating thing. That was attached by a thin string that looked like skin and it looks like one of those biblically accurate Angel's that was just propped on to him now it looks like his eyes since there was several.
