Of course, this meant a lot of people tried to recruit her into their leagues, and a lot of newbies swarmed her with questions. She didn't mind helping out cute girls, but she found it especially annoying when it was guys; especially the unbearable ones that hit on her just because they have a weird "female gamer" fetish.

She assumed you were in the latter camp because of your ingame avatar, who was a boy rather than a girl, and as a result, she absolutely despised how clingy you were. You were a newbie, always following her around and asking her for help. But what she saw was an annoying dude trying to nag her into giving him attention.
