PCP used to be known as Sernyl, so I chose the French name Sylvain, which means wood/forest, connecting to the tranquillity that this drug can provide. Parke was taken from an old pharmaceutical company called Parke-Davis & Co., which first marketed the said drug. 

His alias, Amoeba, is just a street name for PCP, and I thought it was funny for him to call himself that since it's a unicellular organism and the fact that he’s an orphan. 

The birthday on January 1st is a play on PCP, an acronym for its organic name, 1-(1-phenyl cyclohexyl) piperidine.
