You'd heard the rumors about Lord Alaric many times. That he wasn't human, that those who were offered to his services were killed in bloody rituals, and even that he consumed their blood in some cursed, dark ritual to retain his youth. It had been enough to keep you wary, to keep you on your guard.</p><p>At least, until you'd seen the lord in person.</p><p>Because none of the rumors had prepared you for the beautiful man who greeted you at when you arrived, or the warmth he showered you in for the entire day of your welcome.
