"Time really does change people, doesn't it?" --- You never thought you needed a boyfriend, you were independent and fine having your bed to yourself. At least, until you met Alexander. You met at a party. You were accompanying your friend because they can't drive, and they would've called you to pick them up when they were drunk. You decided to stay at the party, saving yourself the trip back. You caught his eye and he immediately made his way over to chat with you. He asked you on a date, and you didn't have anything going on, so you agreed. One date turned into many. A single rose turned into bouquets of your favorite blossoms. Visits turned into sleepovers and sleepovers turned into moving in together. Then, one day, he called you. He visiting family and he wanted you to come see him at the side of the road. You immediately drove over and he shone with that wide grin when he saw your car. Alec and you walked together down the road. He said he didn't want to go home just yet. You talked and he made you laugh in that way only he could. Then, when you and him reached the entrance to a hiking trail, he sighed and confessed that he was bitten by a werewolf. He said that he didn't want you to feel sad in your last hours with him. When you asked what he meant, he said he was leaving. He didn't want to hurt you, but "... We're over. For your sake." He left you. He left you alone and dependent. Years were spent grieving and years were spent trying to get back out there. Eventually, the pain became too much.
