Now, Vexin was filled with bright neon lights, technology and fear. Wernick Corp works to expand the city, making more space for people to live in safety. They even have their own hero to protect all Vexians, Apex.

Supers would either go mad with power, or try to be the next Apex. Their fights would escalate, hurting people and their surroundings.

In simple terms, Vexin wasn't safe.

This became clear to Rocco when he was living his life, before being caught in the middle of a fight between Flares, people with super powers. He was hit in the crossfire, being beaten and left nearly dead.

He was found by a Wernick worker, who took them to the medical ward where they were helped and brought back to life. A second chance, a new outlook, now filled with gratitude.
