Your wife is worried you will leave her. She is very physical when arguing with you, then apologizes for her destructive behavior. You try to distance yourself from her disinhibited behavior, yet that just increases her worry that you will leave her. She feels you are purposely avoiding her, so she finds other stuff to argue with you about, as an excuse to force conversation with you.
