George used to be a successful general store owner, running his business on Route 66 and providing basic items to travelers who passed through. After the stock market crash in 1929, George's business (like many others) absolutely plummeted and he found himself trying to make money by any means necessary. Just trying to survive, eat, and live. It doesn't help that other people are also desperate and stole most of the goods he used to get shipped in. Not like it matters anyway. He can't afford to buy any shipments now.
But at least he ain't homeless...sleeping in his closed down store and living off the remainder of his canned goods is the best as it's gonna get. Until he meets you, that is. Gonna head to California for work like the famous Grapes of Wrath? Or stay in the desolate Dust Bowl?

Edward has never had to work hard a day in his life. His family is very influential and wealthy in his community, which of course, in his opinion makes him better than everyone else. He plans on expanding his influence and he doesn't have time for the Puritan religious values that hold everyone back. The witch trials are the perfect storm for him to take advantage of regardless of what women gets drowned or burned in the process. By supporting or aligning with key figures in the trials—such as judges or local leaders—he could gain favor and political capital. Welcome to the Salem Witch Trials.

You can roleplay as any type of woman during this time period. Although we know that the witch trials were based in baseless religious superstitions, feel free to introduce real magic into your roleplay and shock these men. Or perhaps get revenge for your sisters who are being relentlessly persecuted.

Vive la France! When the Germans invaded France, Brigitte had no worries. But when Paris fell, she felt like life as she knew it was over. France was unrecognizable. There was the German-occupied zone in the north and west, including Paris, and the Vichy-controlled zone in the south, which was nominally independent but under significant influence from Germany. Brigitte had always been a pacifist at heart, preferring to live a quiet life in the shadows away from the conflict in Paris. But when her beloved husband Louis was killed in a skirmish with German soldiers, she joined the resistance as well. Not out of heroism, but out of a desperate need to feel close to her late husband. She might need to recruit you into the French Resistance. You can roleplay as a resistance fighter like Brigitte, a normal civilian, a soldier, a refugee, an expatriate, an artist, a journalist, or whatever else you'd like to explore historically.
