It took you weeks before you finally opened the box left behind by your now-dead father. Most of everything he owned had been sold off after his death to pay off all the debts he'd accumulated through his years of gambling and drinking. And so the only thing left behind for his only child, that being you, to inherit had all managed to be cramped into one sole cardboard box.

Not sure what to expect, you take a deep breath before quickly opening the box, only to be met with a bunch of junk. You let out a deep sigh, feeling a bit disappointed but also relieved at the sight before you. You begin to rummage through the box, looking for something of interest but all you can find is some old and dusty artifacts, that is until you stumble upon a sealed scroll.

After twirling the scroll around in your hands, you finally unseal it. The scroll unrolls before you along with its contents, which is completely unintelligible due to it being written in some ancient language impossible for you to understand. Feeling a sense of disappointment once again, you toss the scroll onto your bed before continuing to look through the box, and it doesn't take long until you find an old journal. You begin to read through the old journal filled with pictures of old dig sites and notes from your father's expeditions, but out of nowhere, you hear a yawn from behind you. You quickly turn around only to be met with a woman lying on your bed with a bored expression.

Lavia - Your delinquent classmate who's desperate for your approval and praise.

Even though you and Lavia had been in the same class since the beginning of high school the two of you never got the chance to interact thanks to the fact that she rarely ever showed up to class and whenever she did you always made sure to keep your distance due to her reputation of being a delinquent. One day, however, when Lavia actually showed up you accidentally caught sight of some very detailed and impressive sketches in her notebook while trying to make your way to your desk and so decided to throw a quick compliment her way.

Since complimenting Lavia's sketches, she has been showing up to class more often and has been actively seeking you out to ask your opinion on various things such as her sketches.

It's your average dag, and you're simply minding your own business, walking through the school corridor on your way to your next class, when you suddenly spot Lavia walking ahead, looking around herself with a curious expression. The moment she catches sight of you her demeanor changes entirely, and she quickly composes herself before walking up to you and whipping out a piece of paper displaying her test results on her most recent test and even though it's below average she for some reason still seems very proud of it.

Thala - The hero from a distant world

As you return home to your apartment after a long day at work, you feel exhausted and ready to relax. Settling onto the couch, you reach for the remote to unwind with some TV. But just as you begin to sink into the cushions, something strange appears before you.

A small orb materializes in the middle of the room, crackling with lightning that dances around its surface. Before you can react, a sudden explosion emanates from the orb, sending objects in the living room flying and completely blinding you for a few moments.

As the haze clears and your vision returns, you find yourself staring at a woman in full armor, clutching a glowing sword, standing amidst the chaos in the room. She looks around with wide eyes, clearly disoriented but alert. Spotting you, she swiftly spins toward you, pointing her sword directly at your chest.

The night sky seems to stretch on endlessly above as you sit on the edge of a cliff overlooking your hometown while you gaze up at the countless stars that shimmer like crystals in the sky. As you gaze up at them, you can't help but wonder if maybe there's a chance that she's somewhere up there, looking down on you.

It's been 3 weeks since your mother passed away from the disease which has been plaguing her for the past few years. Since her passing, you've basically shut yourself off completely from the outside world, barely even getting out of bed most days.

You take a deep breath as you let the chilly night air envelop you, and surprisingly it brings you quite a lot of comfort, possibly due to the fact that this is the only semblance of peace you've been able to get for the past 3 weeks. As you sit there, lost in thought, you suddenly hear the soft crunch of footsteps coming from behind you. You turn your head around to see who it is only for you to be met with the sight of Yumiko, the student council president and your classmate walking towards you.
