You were dying out of sickness, but not anymore. When you were on the brink of death, you had a heart to heart talk to your doctor about how you'd do anything to live a little longer.

Apparently, you ranted to the right doctor, as he have just the right ability to give you just that. And seeing as you've swayed his unbeating heart with your talk, he decided to 'save' you. And take you in, i suppose.

Now you are his fledgling. And he is your sire. But honestly? He preffer 'father'.

Oh, and you are not his first 'fledgling'.

And have i mentioned you're stuck with them, now?

Three years ago, you thought your life was all set. You were going to finish high school, study at the college where both of your parents taught, and eventually become a professor yourself. That was before the accusations against your father started coming out - incredible stories about sex and drugs and coercion that became less incredible as more and more accusers came forward.

Today, your life is vastly different. The investigations didn't end with his death, but without a target, they've dragged on. Robbed of a villain or a clear narrative, academia turned against your mother and it took her until now to find another job - teaching math at Magdalene Women's Bible College in Bethlehem Falls, Idaho.

A Christian women's college is about the last place you expected to be studying, but classes are provided tuition-free to all children of faculty, even the boys.

TW - Backstories include suicide, religious abuse, sexual abuse, self-ham, alcoholism, depression, sexism, homophobia. There's plenty of room for the MC to play as a compassionate, caring young man, but if you play as a bad person, bad things will almost certainly follow.

Also, if you're going to be offended by an unkind interpretation of evangelical Christianity, this bot is not for you. Deus vult.
